Automatic guided vehicle ( AGV ) is an automatic material handling equipment it can realize the transportation of goods on fixed channels and automatic unloading.In order to improve the operation efficiency and safety of AGV robots, the application of communication technology in AGV robot is very important.
In the AGV robot system, the common means of communication is wireless network communication, including Wi-Fi, blue tooth,4G,5G etc.Adopt the wireless network technologies such as 802.11b、4G、5G and so on,it can realize interconnection with the host computer or other equipment; therefore, the operation efficiency of the whole system is improved. Wireless network communication has the following advantages: fast transmission speed, high stability, strong extension, no wiring required, and simple construction.
However, in some special occasions, wireless network communication is prohibited. The data is stored locally. After the AGV completes the operation, the data is uploaded to the host computer. In this case, only wired communication can be adopted. Using power carrier communication, install a power carrier in the charging pile, and install a power line carrier on the AGV. When the AGV power port is connected to the charging pile, the charging pile can charge the AGV. At the same time, the AGV establishes a network connection with the host computer and can upload data.
